The "poles" Sculpture at the donut is far too vague to be representative of Port Macquarie. I wonder if the artist could be persuaded to cast a large aluminium figure of one of Port's body boarding greats and place it so that the poles represent the breaking wave.

Love the rock pool idea. I lived on the northern beaches of sydney for many years. Ocean baths are a fabulous attraction. While we're at it how about building some sandy beaches in Westport Park along with BBQ's and shade shelters.

Build an ocean rock pool. This is probably the only coastal council in the state that does not have such a facility free to the public.

Re: "Build Something Big". Without a doubt,the most appropriate object for Port Macquarie would be a huge BARKING DOG. It should be complete with sound effects on an endless loop for authenticity and could be solar powered. This would mean employment for the local artists during the design stage and engineers and fabricators in the construction.

We went for dinner here last year with a 6 month old baby. the ribs were mouth watering and the service was great the staff even offered to play with our son while we ate.

We do agree LK, and have been through the same with our children too. An alternative beach would be preferred.

Have an official nude beach but find a sutiable beach away from the public. As a parent with 2 young girls we cannot use this beautiful coastal walk. A couple of times we walked from Shelley to Lighthouse we have been made to feel very uncomfortble and have had to ensure our girls were not exposed to those men that felt they had to parade pass us. The council spent money on this walk to ensure it was accessible to all. Letters to the council don't seem to work as the only reply was to "phone the police as it was happening". The police have better things to do! Ever thought of Grant's beach at Bonny's? well off the road and walking tracks!!!

Emma, I saw Marlene Dietrich in Durban South Africa when I was a young girl. The thing I loved most was her glorious sheath-like sparkling dress. She was a vision of shimmering loveliness that has stayed in my memory.

It seems you have forgotten who actually employed you at The Snail also at that time how little experience you had in the restaurant industry.Having come from the RSL club and golf club bars, Who actually was your front of house MENTOR.It definately was not Manuel Damian as you had issues with him as almost all front of house did and Gina was the mediator that kept all the girls happy .

i want the people that are destroying this place to stop, this is a piece of paradise and a piece of everyone that has been there. it is one of the last places on earth that still with holds its true beauty. i want & need this place to be around when my kids grow up, and their kids grow up.

So how about you forget money and stop being selfish and realise that there are people that will stand in your way, because living without seal rocks would not be living!
